Meet The Dentists
Dr. Joanna Swiderek, D.D.S
Dr. Joanna Swiderek graduated from Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, Poland in 1986. After completing her National Examining Board requirements in 1995, she would work for a Toronto family dental practice for 4 years. Although she enjoyed the "city-like" practice, she always dreamed of opening her own practice one day in a "smaller" community.
Joanna enjoys all aspects of dentistry including pediatric dentistry, cosmetic restorations, oral surgery (extractions) and crowns and bridges. Unlike many children who don't know what they want to do when they grow up, she did. Dr. Swiderek always knew that she would become a dentist and has a special interest in children. With a passion for oral health, working with patients and the opportunity to work alongside her husband her dreams were fulfilled through many years of hard work and dedication.
When not at the clinic you can find her at the Yoga studio or with a good book in her hand.
Dr. Les Swiderek, D.D.S
Dr. Les Swiderek graduated from Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, Poland in 1985. After moving to Canada in 1989 Les began studying for the National Examining Board requirements, an equivalency course in dentistry; and began practicing dentistry in 1996 as an associate for a Hamilton and Toronto dental practice. In 1998 his dream came true, he opened up Swiderek Dental with his wife and fellow dentist Joanna in Guelph, Ontario.
Dr. Les Swiderek is consistently upgrading his current skills along with learning new procedures and techniques. From 2014 to 2016 he attended the Toronto Institute for Dental Excellence INC completing their Dental Implant Mini-Residency program.
Les is a perfectionist and his detailed oriented style drive him to be at his best and strive for improvement. He has extensive dental experience in various aspects of dentistry such as: cosmetic, restorative, oral surgery and endodontics (root canal therapy).
When not practicing dentistry you can find him in the kitchen, he loves to cook.
